My CF Oracle problem ORA-00933 was resolved

Adobe has produced a hotfix for the ORA-00933 bug I encountered a few months ago using the Oracle Thin JDBC Driver and CF,. The hotfix will be released as part of the next Cumulative Hotfix for CF 8. If your in desperate need of this fix, contact Adobe support.

It took a couple of goes to resolve the issue, as my simplified test case was initially just for unbound SQL, which was solved but the error re-appeared with bound SQL, which was then solved.

Thanks to Praveen & Adam from Adobe!

I also have this problem (cannot do insert into...select...) and thanks Zac to help me to debug.

The Coldfusion hotfix is a MUST to solve this problem.

Hope they can release the latest Hotfix ASAP....

Hi, thanks for that blog entry - I seem to run in the same issue and your article is the only hint I could find about it. Since I would need a solution urgently could you please send me the contact to the Adobe guys you've mentioned.
Lot of thanks in advance!

Hello!

We require you to send us as soon as possible this entry to Adobe.

We need the fix as soon as possible in order to keep our application working.

So could you send us the fix to this problem?

My mail is bsalguero@nexe.com.

Thank very much.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard back from Adobe on this, nor did i honestly expect a response as they had clearly communicated their plans as i have blogged here.

That said i know how really frustrating this problem is and i hope they release it soon, or simply release it as a single hotfix prior to the Cumulative hotfix.

There is an official cf support channel where you can pay US $499 for a one off Bronze incident.
