Firefox Page Zoom problem with the Numeric Keypad Solved [Ubuntu]

Ubuntu by default doesn't work with the numeric keypad because of
n annoying system default. So in Firefox, page zoom using Ctrl-Plus and Ctrl-Minus with the
numeric keypad doesn't work. Grrr

solution: under System, Preferences, Keyboard, Mouse Keys (tab)

simply uncheck the "Pointer can be controlled using the keypad" checkbox (i.e. like the above)

Would you have a solution, too, for the moments, when mouse-control via keypad becomes active again, without me knowing why and without any keyboard-accelerators being defined for the very purpose?

I suppose, that there *is* a keyboard-accelerator alright, to switch on keypad-control and it must be something that I involuntarily hit at times, alas, its definition is nowhere to be found or altered, as far as I see...

I searched the web a bit on the subject but got mis-directed a few times. Anyway, thanks in advance and have a good time.

Hi Michael, it's a hard one to research, hard to figure out the right search phrases.

I'm still finding it very hard to get ubuntu working as i'd like it to.

I'm a heavy user of the numeric keypad for code editing, which is very frustrating when it doesn't work
